ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden – A MUST SEE in Albuquerque

ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden has a nice blend of outdoor and greenhouse settings. With a butterfly pavilion, fruit trees, a Japanese garden, water features, and pathways edged with plants and flowers, it seemed like a new surprise around every corner. Another unique attraction is that they have a vintage train that travels between the zoo and the other two attractions.

The gardens have many New Mexico native plants as well as plants from around the world that grow well in the New Mexico climate.

Most visitors take the pass that includes the garden, Aquarium, and the Zoo all in one day, as they are very close together.  There is also a train connecting all three attractions.

If you’re visiting Albuquerque and looking for a relaxing walk Albuquerque Botanic Garden is a great place.

You can see most of the gardens in about two hours,  but you could also easily spend a full day here.

The garden is so widespread with numerous trails and paths that give visitors a sense of privacy. It never felt crowded.
