How to make Simple Vegetarian Stuffed Mushrooms | Super easy stuffed Mushroom Recipe

This stuffed mushroom recipe is an excellent vegetarian Appetizer or side dish for any occasion. It has simple ingredients, super easy, and combines the flavours of cheese, garlic, pepper and chilli powder.

It is also very easy to make. After removing the stem from the mushroom, you make a simple stuffing with your choice of ingredients. Stuff the mushroom cap and bake for about 20 minutes. It’s one of those recipe that is very flexible and still taste wonderful.

INGREDIENTS

  • 15 – 20 Large Fresh Mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise or cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder/cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup seasoned fine dry bread crumbs or panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter

PREPARATION

  • Preheat oven to 400°F
  • Clean Mushrooms. Remove the stems from the mushrooms
  • Chop the stems coarsely, fine pieces.
  • Add one tablespoon of butter to the saucepan and add the garlic paste or finely chopped garlic. When they’ve begun to soften, add the chopped mushroom stems. Cook, stirring often, about five minutes. Remove.
  • Coat the outside of the mushrooms with the olive oil. It helps to seals the mushrooms and keeps the outside from drying out.
  • Place mushroom caps, stem sides up in a baking sheet and set aside.
  • In a bowl stir together mayonnaise, grated cheese, cayenne pepper/chilli powder and black pepper
  • Spoon sautéed mushroom stems steps in to mushroom caps
  • Spoon mayonnaise mixture in to mushroom caps.
  • top them with bread crumbs
  • Bake 15 to 20 Minutes
