25+ Healthy Tasty Smoothie Recipes – Ultimate Guide to make best smoothies

Published on: July 4, 2020

Green smoothies are a great way to get much needed vegetables. I like to share our favourite green smoothie recipes that is naturally sweetened with fruit (no added sugars) and loaded with nutrients.
Even though many people like smoothies they often won’t make it, mainly because the time needed to wash and prepare. There is an easy alternative by making few smoothie packs ahead of time in small freezer bags. If you pack different recipes then you never get bored!! You can easily freeze it and then just pull out when needed.
We drink a green smoothie almost every day, usually in the evening after coming back from work. Since we started this we noticed a huge difference in our energy level.
Smoothies are expected to be made and drink right away. Most of the smoothie will thicken up as it sits, and the flavour will be different. It lose its freshness. You can omit the additional sweetener in any smoothie recipe, and also can reduce fruits by replacing with greens.

Blender

I have tried other blenders but based on our experience, Vitamix is the best to make smoothie. Vitamix works so well at blending everything so smooth and creamy, flawlessly, no chunks, no pulp. We’ve been using it for many years and highly recommend.
If using frozen fruit you can omit the ice cubes in recipes.

Smoothie Recipe Tips:

Lime Zest give a unique flavor to smoothies.
To make 1 tsp of fresh ginger juice, grate about 3 tsp of fresh ginger. Use a cheese cloth to squeeze the ginger juice out of it.
To soak chia seeds you can put it in a bowl and add 5 Tbsp of liquid for every tablespoon of chia seeds. Place it in the fridge for several hours or overnight.
You can add small piece of ginger to any smoothie and it give fresh flavor. When you buy fresh ginger break it in to tiny pieces and freeze. Then as you need it pull a piece of ginger.
Reduce the serving size of the fruit and add more greens. Spinach does not have strong or conflicting flavor and it will add some different nutrients.
Make Smoothie packs ahead of time and freeze it. When you need it pull one of the bag out of the freezer and dump its contents in a blender.
We love to hear from you!! Did you try any of these recipes? Which one is your favourite.
